Read to the Beat! – the 2026 Summer Reading Challenge is now here!

This year’s theme will inspire children to discover the rhythm and melody of reading while celebrating music and sound and exploring how music and storytelling unite.

With free rewards to collect and plenty of brilliant books to enjoy, the challenge is the perfect summer activity to keep young minds and bodies active over the holidays.

Read to the Beat! launched in all our libraries on Saturday 4 July 2026 and will run until Saturday 29 August 2026.
