Tour for All: Roman Southampton Walking Tour with Andy Skinner

August 18 @ 11:00 - 12:30
£10

Tours For All are designed to be suitable for people of all ages – adults and children alike. Your guide will tailor the walk for those joining it. Wear good footwear, be prepared to be amazed and get ready to dive into history! Unfortunately most of our walks are not suitable for people with mobility concerns. Accompanying children under 16yrs are FREE.

Join historian Andy Skinner for a ramble around Roman Southampton, located in modern-day Bitterne Manor.

Although the Roman remains in Southampton have long-since disappeared, this tour will allow you to discover incredible stories of the town 2,000 years ago by visiting the sites and scenes of archaeological interest.

Please meet at the Bitterne Road West entrance of Bitterne Manor Park (What3Words: hiking.launch.forum).

Please be aware that in adverse weather the tour may be cancelled or postponed at short notice. The tour will last about 90 minutes.

Cancellations

In the unlikely event that we cancel a session, we will offer a full refund. Unfortunately tickets are otherwise non-refundable. Please contact us if you wish to transfer your ticket to a friend if you cannot attend for any reason.

If you have any questions about the event please contact us at museums@southampton.gov.uk or give us a ring at 023 8083 4536 (emails and phones are staffed weekdays 9am-5pm).
